Short Itinerary

Day 01 :Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,400 m/4,593 ft) and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hyatt Regency or a similar-class hotel.

Day 02 : Helicopter flight to Lukla (2,840 m/9,318 ft) from Kathmandu – approx. 45 to 50 minutes (maximum 5 persons per flight) and then trek to Phakding (2,610 m/8,562 ft) – 3 to 4 hours. Overnight at Everest Summit Lodge, Mountain Lodges of Nepal, or a similar-class guesthouse.

Day 03 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,286 ft) from Phakding – 5 to 6 hours. Overnight at Mountain Lodges of Nepal or a similar-class guesthouse.

Day 04 : Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar. Hike to Hotel Everest View (3,880 m/12,730 ft), one of the highest-altitude hotels in the world – 4 to 5 hours. Overnight at Mountain Lodges of Nepal or a similar-class guesthouse.

Day 05 : Trek to Debuche (3,820 m/12,532 ft) from Namche Bazaar – 6 to 7 hours. Overnight at Rivendell Lodge or a similar-class guesthouse.

Day 06 : Trek to Dingboche (4,410 m/14,469 ft) from Debuche – 6 to 7 hours. Overnight at Dingboche Resort or a similar-class guesthouse.

Day 07 : Acclimatization Day at Dingboche. Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083 m/16,676 ft) – 4 to 5 hours. Overnight at Dingboche Resort or a similar-class guesthouse.

Day 08 : Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m/16,109 ft) from Dingboche – 5 to 6 hours. Overnight at Hotel Pyramid or a similar-class guesthouse (common toilet & bathroom).

Day 09 : Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,598 ft) & then back to Gorak Shep (5,164 m/16,942 ft) – 8 to 9 hours. Overnight at Himalaya Lodge or a similar-class guesthouse (common toilet & bathroom).

Day 10 : Early morning hike up to Kalapatthar (5,555 m/18,225 ft) and then, descend to Gorak Shep (5,164 m/16,942 ft) – 3 to 4 hours. Helicopter flight from Gorak Shep to Kathmandu via Lukla (2,840 m/9,318 ft) – 1 hour. Overnight at Hyatt Regency or a similar-class hotel.

Day 11 : Transfer to the International Airport for your final departure.

Our standard itinerary might differ slightly due to unpredictable happenings and events out of our control. Factors such as flight cancellation/delay, unfavorable weather, natural calamities, newly implemented government rules, political affairs, trekkers’ health condition, etc., are possible. Evaluating the situation’s possible solutions allow the trekking to resume as much as possible based on the best alternatives. In these times, we look for your cooperation and flexibility.

Adding two spare days after your trek is strongly advised. Flights to and from Lukla are often delayed or canceled due to weather conditions, and these buffer days help avoid complications with your international travel plans. You also have options to customize this trip where you can add on a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, other adventure sports or day trips around the country before or after the trek.

Packing List for Luxury Everest Base Camp Heli Trek

Here is a list of what you might want to pack for Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek with Heli experience. Please take this as a starting point. You’ll need layers of warmer clothing during the winter.

We provide a 75-liter duffel bag for you to use for the trek. It will be given to you during your pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu. The duffle bag is yours to keep.

Important Information

• We give you a free duffel bag and baseball cap during your pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu. The duffel bag will be used to pack your trekking supplies.
• For every two participants, we assign one porter. Each porter carries a maximum of 25 kg/55 lbs in total. Your duffel bag, which should weigh no more than 12.5 kg/27.56 lbs per client, will be carried by the porter throughout the trek.
• To carry your daily necessities like cash, crucial papers, a water bottle or bladder, a camera, toiletries, sunscreen, a notebook, clothing, etc., you must have your own daypack (with a waterproof cover).
• You can store your luggage (non-trekking items) at the hotel in Kathmandu.
• Total luggage allotment allowance for the Kathmandu-Lukla flight is 15 Kg/33 lbs including both duffel (10 Kg/22 lbs.) and backpack (5 Kg/11 lbs.)
• Down jacket with a hood is a must for altitudes above 4,000 m to keep warm. We provide both a down jacket and a sleeping bag, which must be returned after the trek. In case of loss or damage to these items, the reimbursement cost is USD 200 per item.

Note: Some clothing, especially form-fitting, figure-hugging items made of elastic material (like yoga pants), may offend locals. Therefore, if you choose to wear these clothes for comfort, please make sure to wear something over them.
